Shiksin Long-Journey Story ^o^

Yesterday I went to the Seoul (again), but this time I was accompanied by one of my housemates.
We didn't actually talk that much when we first met. But yesterday she asked me if she could use my laptop for a minute and then I said yes, and then the conversation went on.
I asked her to show me a good restaurant for lunch.
By good I mean, good for my tummy and my wallet ;P
She confidently chose MENYA JAPANESE NOODLE CAFE
So, Menya it is!

I think most people in Melbourne knew this place already, because the place was PACKED.
There's only 2 reasons why a restaurant is packed with people.
1. The food is great
2. It's raining heavily outside.
Good thing that this restaurant's packed because of the first reason mentioned above.
The place's so small. Only a few tables were there. It's a small rectangular shaped room, but most of the space's consumed by the kitchen area.
My housemate had the Curry Chicken Don while I tried the Curry Katsu Don.
It was delicious!
The real food looked exactly the same as the one on the menu.
Same physical appearance, same amount of cutlets, same amount of rice, etc!
Oh, by the way.. THE PORTION'S HUGE !!
I don't know about you but I still can't adjust to the sizes of food in Seoul.
Compared to Indonesia, Seoul's food portion is twice as big !
That's the reason why I can't finish my plate most of the time here.
Good thing that MENYA gives free plastic boxes for people who can't finish their food (like me!) so we can pack the rest for later.
The meal that I had was 8.500 won , and I actually ate it for lunch and dinner later that night. So 8.500 won for lunch AND dinner. That's 4.2500 won per meal!
I walked out from that place feeling full, happy and satisfied :)

I'm on my way searching for the best food Seoul has to offer. nom nom nom nom.
SURPRISE ME, SEOUL
SURPRISE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
